Reflection
Among the many skills I’ve acquired from the @ONE Online
Teaching Certification Program, the ability to design engaging content is very
important.Instead of using all text to present a concept to my students, I can
add visuals and multimedia. According to research, ideas are more likely to be remembered if they’re presented as visuals instead of words.
There are other tools I can use to create dynamic content. Powtoon for example can produce an animated video that will grab the students’ attention. VoiceThread can be used when explaining a topic using visuals and narrations. And screencasting tools such as Camtasia and Screencast-o-Matic can be used to provide how-to videos.
